Demon School of Motoring - Terms & Conditions

Licence

All pupils must be in possession of a current provisional, International or full driving licence which should be shown to the Driving Instructor at commencement of driving lessons.

Payment

Unfortunately Demon School of Motoring does not accept payment by credit/debit card. Driving lessons may currently be paid for either by cash or cheque at the beginning of each lesson.

Block Booking Payments

Only one block of 10 lessons may be purchased at the reduced cost (currently £160). Subsequent blocks of 10 will be charged at the higher rate (currently £210).

Cancellations

A period of 24 hours notice must be given upon cancellation of driving lessons. Lessons cancelled within this time period will be charged at half price. Any exceptions to this will be at the discretion of the Driving Instructor.

Demon School of Motoring reserves the right to cancel any driving lessons at short notice if the instructor considers the weather and road conditions to be too dangerous to conduct driving lessons .

Demon School of Motoring reserves the right to discontinue driving tuition in the event of inappropriate or anti-social behaviour on the part of the pupil.

Test Bookings

While your instructor will make every effort to ensure that the vehicle supplied for test will be fully road worthy and comply with all legal requirements at the start of the test, he/she cannot be held responsible for vehicle failure that occurs during the test and is not liable for consequential loss.

Your instructor cannot be held responsible for test appointments cancelled by the DSA due to bad weather, sickness, staff shortages or other reasons. Such cancellations are beyond the control of your instructor and therefore the lesson fee and use of car fee for the booked period will be charged. Your instructor will advise about claiming compensation from the DSA .

Where Demon School of Motoring vehicle is used for test, the booking period will be based upon the instructor's normal diary schedule. Depending on the time of the test this will require a minimum two hour booking and possibly longer. Please note, these fees are not included in your test fee.

Your instructor reserves the right to refuse use of a driving school vehicle for test if he/she considers that provision of a vehicle could cause a risk to public safety.

Alcohol & Drug Policy

If at anytime you are suspected to be under the influence of drugs (prescription or otherwise) or alcohol, Demon School of Motoring will refuse to take you for your lesson/test. No refund will be given for lost lesson/test fees. Demon School of Motoring reserves the right to refuse further lessons and/or tests if you are suspected to be under the influence.

Code of Conduct
Your instructor agrees to abide by the conditions of the DSA Professional Code of Conduct (available on the DSA website). In the unlikely event of complaint or dispute the guidelines of the Code of Conduct will be followed.
